Tips for Success:

• Check your withholdings; make sure the total sum of your W-2, 1099R and/or W-2G withholdings match the amount on your Form 1040.
• Use and follow the form instructions for all entries. Select the Instructions For This Form button.
• Select the Do the Math button often to run calculations and to save your work.
• Use the computer operating systems and browsers suggested in the Minimum Computer Requirements.
• Review the Program and Forms' Limitations and User's Guide (PDF) before you start.
• Forms that print will transmit when you e-file (Note: W2, W2G and 1099-R forms are not supposed to print).
• Print a complete, final copy of your return for your records.

Before You File:

To ensure a successful e-file transmission, make sure you have completed all of the following:

• You've entered your dependents on page 1 of your 1040.
• You've entered your standard or itemized deductions on page 1 line 12a of your 1040.
• Calculated and entered your tax amount on page 2 line 16 of your 1040.
